Women’s fashion has always had items that were thought to be alright to spend a little extra on: handbags, jewelry, and shoes. At True Love Shoes & Accessories on Broadway in Denver, their standard is not only low prices, but high quality product and customer service.
A diverse selection from sandals to four inch heels, True Love Shoes has the shoe to make any woman happy and comfortable. From size five and a half to ten. Walls of handbags are hanging nearby so coordinating your shoes to a bag would be a breeze. True Love also sells scarves and belts, which are spread out through the store. In a glass cabinet in the back of the boutique, there is an expansive collection of necklaces, rings, headbands, and earrings all reasonably priced.
Owner Sarah Lily-Ray believes “selling shoes as well as jewelry, scarves, belts, and handbags is a natural fit. Women want to complete their looks, and we want to make women happy”. Lily-Ray also says “it’s really important for fun, trendy items to be inexpensive. I was into fashion when I was young and was often out of money because I went shopping all the time”, she laughed, and continued “I would go to these stores and pick out something I like and have sticker shock and say to myself who could afford this? I want people that love fashion to love fashionable things at a reasonable price and not make a big commitment if it’s not in style next season”.
The shoes at True Love Shoes range from $10.00 to $58.00 in price, the jewelry is $6.00 to $38.00, and the handbags are $16.00 $68.00. True Love Shoes is able to keep their prices so low by buying all man-made items; none of the products they sell are made from any animals. Lily-Ray says “we try really hard to not stray from our target price range. If something is out of our price range, even if we like it, we won’t carry it. It’s just our policy. We also do not carry any leather products because we do not appreciate the idea of animals being harmed for fashion”.
Women of every age shop at True Love Shoes & Accessories; from thirteen year-old girls to eighty year-old women. Lily-Ray says “women love our range of shoes, and I love talking to these women! I’m flattered when people tell me I have products they love”. Sarah Lily-Ray finds comfortable, stylish shoes by “learning what to avoid from personal experience, and listening to customers and taking their advice on what to buy and not to buy. We also take down customer’s numbers if a specific item comes in and they’re searching for it”.
True Love Shoes & Accessories has a website, a Face Book page, and the first Friday of every month, they have Pink Champagne Happy Hour from five p.m. to eight p.m. with special promotions and a drawing for a fifty dollar gift card. Their next night will be this Friday, May 7th! They’re located at 42 Broadway, Denver.
