Time is growing near! It is only a little over a week away!
Get out those dusty clubs and golf shoes, head out to the range and get warmed up for one of the first golf tourneys of the season. Monday, June 28th, at the picturesque Arrowhead Golf Course, Mile High Down Syndrome Association (MHDSA) is having a “Tee Up for Down Syndrome Golf Tournament.” Mile High Max Muscle is their Title Sponsor this year. The tournament is at 1:30 p.m. with a “Shotgun Start.” Their Celebrity Guest Golpher this year is Mr. Brad Hennefer. The event will be followed up by a dinner and awards ceremony.
Brad Hennefer is a 21 year old man, with Down Syndrome, from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with his own “Golf for Life” foundation. He is a highly decorated Olympiad and played golf on his high school golf team. He started golfing at the age of 3, when his brother would take him to the miniature golf course at the “Board Walk.” Brad is quoted, in their event pamphlet, as saying “I play golf because it’s fun, and I can spend time with my father, and my brother, and my friends. It’s good exercise, and, really because it’s fun!”
