Obviously, I’m not going to cover the whole 27 mile journey with you, but I’ll go over what your looking for. Your going to want to visit these trails if:
-Your into dramatic outdoor scenery. You move from fields, to forests, to flowing water in what seems like no time. These trails offer some very unique sites if you know where to look, and beautiful sights if you don’t.
-You enjoy long hiking trails. With 27 miles, theres no time to spare if you plan on covering at least a good amount of them. Check the offical website for opening hours as they variey during the year.
Your not going to want to visit these trails if:
-You don’t enjoy longer distance trails. There are not too many benches to sit and rest along the nature trails, so be sure you don’t mind keeping on your feet! Although many of the trails are long, signs will inform you on the distance of the trail in miles, and lead you back.
Stony Creek Metropark seems to have an appeal that other’s do not. To really experence the trails I would suguest returning to the park at different times of the year. Stony Creek really is somewhere to be appreciated and explored. To see more of my photography from the natural trails, view the slide show.
