The Austin Municipal Swimming Pool is an ideal place to cool off when the heat and humidity decide to spike. Daily afternoon admission is $3.00 per person, while evening admission is $2.00 per person. These prices do include use of the water slide. The pool hours are Monday-Friday 1-5:30 p.m., Friday evenings 7-9:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1-6:45 p.m.. Looking for a spot to hold a special event? The Jay C. Hormel Nature Center, located on 21st Street NE, one quarter mile NOrth Off Exit 180B, on Interstate 90, can provide hours of enjoyment for the whole family. Trail hours are open from 6 AM until 10 PM, seven days a week. And the best part- there are no fees for the trail or visitor center. Keep in mind that the Interpretive-visitor center is closed daily from 12 noon until 1:00 PM. Remember that pets, biking, alcohol, collecting of plants or animals, camping, fires or picnicking on the grounds. Here you can hike the seven miles of trail. Bring a water bottle, back pack, and a nice pair of binoculars. Along the trail you will probably see deer, mink, raccoons, salamanders, birds, and other native wildlife to the area. A fantastic way to spend a day on your staycation.
Riverside Arena is host to several wedding dances, class reunions, conventions, and banquets of all types. With a seating capacity for non-ice events of 5,500 people, this arena is sure to host an event that you and your family will enjoy.
Austin, Minnesota is also home to a fabulous bicycle trail which travels throughout the city. Here you can hop on your bicycle and take a tour of the community.
