News from the liberterrain…
Jim Prindle, Libertarian Party nominee for Texas Congressional District 4, applauded the fashion statement made by Rand Paul after Paul’s easy GOP primary win in Kentucky while cheerfully casting aside the old ragged garments of ousted and frayed status quo candidates from the two Big Government statist parties.
“Last night, the American populace spoke the message of liberty once again,” Prindle announced in a news release following the results of Tuesday’s elections.
Paul trounced the fair-haired favorite of the Republicans in Kentucky while longtime insider Democrat nee Republican Arlen Specter was bounced in a Pennsylvania primary and Obamacare water carrier Blanche Lincoln faces a Dem primary runoff in Arkansas.
But when Prindle calls for a “New Generation of leadership” he’s not just talking libertarian philosophy or the politics of freedom.
He means, literally, a new generation.
“Jim Prindle faces 30-year incumbent Congressman Ralph Hall, the oldest living member of the House of Representatives, in the November 2nd general election, who will seek a 15th term.” – Jim Prindle news release.
But Prindle will be the first to tell you that this race isn’t about age. It’s about busting big government status quo politics. It’s about rooting out the cynical party-hopping ala Arlen Specter, as Hall did in 2004, morphing from Democrat to Republican just to get reelected.
“This is not just a vote against incumbents, this is a vote against Obama, his socialist takeover, and those that stood by and allowed this to happen.” – Jim Prindle news release.
That last part would include Ralph Hall. During his thirty-year tenure in Congress government kept getting bigger, more expensive, more intrusive, more dictatorial, and Ralph Hall just kept on voting for business as usual party line policies.
The 4th district includes the Metroplex counties of Collin, Rockwall, and 11 other East Texas counties.
