Kyron Horman update: Investigation into Oregon boy’s disappearance focusing on step mom, says report
Kyron Horman has been missing since June 4 and the last person known to be with him was his stepmother, Terri Horman. According to a recent report, she has now become the focus of the case.
According to Horman, she attended a science fair with Kyron two weeks ago at his elementary school. She claims the last time she saw the 7-year-old was about 8:45 a.m. as he walked toward his second-grade Skyline Elementary classroom. He never made it to class and was marked absent.
Kyron’s family called 911 later that day when he did not return home on the school bus.

On Thursday, Willamette Week reported that those investigating the case determined that Horman may not have been where she professed to be when Kyron vanished.
Instead of being at Kyron’s school, the sources say cell phone records indicate Horman was on Sauvie Island, which is located five miles from the boy’s school. Law enforcement have been searching the area for about a week.

AOL News reports that from the beginning of the investigation, Kyron’s family has been relatively subdued, while most families of missing children are quite vocal and reach out to media to get the word out about their loved ones.
Nonetheless, former FBI agent Harold Copus told AOL on Thursday “The police might think that this is an abduction and, because of that, don’t want to feed information to the suspect.”

Willamette Week reported that “five separate law-enforcement officials from agencies at the city, county and federal level” say that from the beginning of the case, Terri Horman raised suspicions because she claims to have gone to the gym after reporting Kyron missing.
Horman wrote on her Facebook page the morning the boy vanished “Hitting the gym,” however, WW notes that officials told the family to continue their normal routine.
Kyron was wearing a “CSI” t-shirt and black cargo pants when he vanished.
Anyone with information regarding Kyron Horman’s whereabouts is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 503-261-2847, or to call 911 with emergency information.
