Southern California Leadership Network in partnership with the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is now taking signups through July 19 for the Leadership Class of 2011. The Leadership Southern California (LSC) curriculum is a 10-month program for individuals who wish to develop a more active, well-informed regional leadership role.
If you are in security or loss prevention, you may be interested in the ASIS International CSO Roundtable webinar being held on Thursday, July 15 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. There is a fee associated with this program.

Job fairs, mixers and other career events
Jobing.com is offering a free Community Youth Resource and Job Fair on Saturday, July 10 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 4323 E. Rosecrans Avenue in Compton.
Network for Professionals (NFP) is offering the Shakers and Stirrers mixer on Wednesday, July 14 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Santa Monica at the Wilshire Restaurant, 2454 Wilshire Boulevard. The purpose is to make quality business connections and mingle with other business professionals over appetizers and cocktails. Register in advance. Cost is $10 for NFP members, $15 for non-members and $20 (cash only) at the door for everyone.
If you’re looking for a more casual business meet and greet, be at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center at 700 W. 32nd Street from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 22. L.A.’s Largest Mixer XII will allow you to mingle with business people and exhibitors from hundreds of industries and companies all for $20 at the door.
A two-day conflict resolution training event for non-profit and local government agencies is being offered at the Western Justice Center at 55 S. Grand Avenue in Pasadena. Work It Out at Work: Transforming Conflicts into Opportunities is being held on Tuesday, July 20 and July 27 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. You must apply by July 5th. The Referral Network will be hosting its Business Busters Tuesday at the Los Angeles Chamber at 350 S. Bixel Street on Tuesday, July 27 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
