My dad, Frank Hilker, would love this. He loved everything free and cheap, being a depression-era child. My dad was 54 when I was born, he was automatically eligible for the, “Senior Citizen Special”, at most restaurants we went to. Everynight of my childhood, I would share his baked lasagne or duck la orange, completely refusing to try pea soup…I still won’t.
Happy Father’s Day, to dad’s and mom’s that are also dad’s everywhere.
