This review and recommendation is about Chibi Vampire. It is by Yuna Kagesaki. It is a 14 volume series with a novel to accompany it soon. It is released by TokyoPop.
It is about a girl named Karin Maaka who is reverse vampire. Instead taking blood from the people she bites, she gives blood and its to people who are usually very stressed. If she doesn’t bite someone when her blood builds up which happen once a month, she will have a really bad nose bleed. Because she 13 not your typical vampire, she can go out into the sunlight and go to school like most people her age.
One day she meets a boy named Kenta Usui. Her blood starts to increase more and more each day. He goes to school with her and works with her. But the job he has with her isn’t his only one. He works more than one job to help his Mom. Kenta and his Mom are hiding from 2-3 grandmother which creates a lot of stress for both or them. At first, Kenta just thinks Karin gets really bad nose bleeds until he witnesses her bite someone. He eventually is asked by her family to watch after her when they can’t.
They start having feelings for each other and both are warned that a relationship between a human and vampire only ends in heartache. But that doesn’t stop them at first. Karin’s father requests Kenta to not pursue the relationship any further. So, Kenta complies.
During this time Karin parents go to a vampire conference that happens every someone years. It seems that vampire couples are having trouble getting pregnant. And Since they are the only couple that have had any luck in is years they ask them what their secret was, which they really didn’t have one.
Some time passes and Karin befriends a girl who seems to be a reverse for at the very least an incomplete vampire. But that is not. The case, in fact she is the offspring of a vampire and a human which makes her a bit bitter and in many ways incomplete like in a reproductive since. Because of this she warns our favorite Couple about what what they an doing and what it could do to any children the may have.
At some point following this, you find out about what Karin is exactly, but this examiner But isn’t going to spoil it for you.
This manga series has been turn into an anime series called Karin. It has been released in America.
This series recommended fourteens and older. It is especially recommended to anyone who is a run of Twilight. This is a very funny series. So, even if you don’t want to read it because of the vampire/human love story, read it for the humor.
