Bruce Beresford-Redman reaches out to friends in email asking for help while fighting murder charge
Former ‘Survivor’ producer, Bruce Beresford-Redman is facing extradition to Mexico for the murder of his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman.
The two were vacationing at the Moon Palace resort in Cancun, when Beresford-Redman reported his wife missing. Several days later, on April 8, her nude body was discovered in a sewer near the hotel. The medical examiner determined she had been strangled and suffered a severe blow to the head.

Beresford-Redman has been charged with the crime and an arrest warrant has been issued. In addition, Mexican authorities have begun extradition proceedings to obtain custody of Beresford-Redman, who proclaims he had nothing to do with his wife’s death.
TMZ uncovered a mass email the producer sent to friends asking them to write a letter on his behalf as he fights extradition from the U.S. to Mexico. The email reads as follows:
Subject: Beresford Redman
Sorry for the mass email, but I need to ask for some help. As I am sure most of you are aware, my wife Monica was killed on our recent trip to Mexico, and now unfortunately, the Mexican authorities have decided to charge me with the crime. I am innocent and intend to fight in court both her and in Mexico. As I am likely to be detained in the U.S. while fighting extradition, I am asking you if you are willing to write a letter on my behalf. Your letters will likely help me secure bail so that I can be home with my children while fighting extradition. If you are willing to help please send an email to my attorney Richard Hirsch. His email is —————————–. The letter should contain the following:
Who you are
What you do
How you know me
For how long we’ve known each other
That you are aware of the case
That you are aware of my intention to fight
That I am a responsible person who will appear when requested (not jump bail basically) Anything positive about my character.
TMZ reports it has confirmed the authenticity of the email as being Beresford-Redman’s.
