Wednesday morning as the rest of us were getting ready to start our day, Greeley ditch riders started getting the irrigation ditches ready for the season. After a few days of heavy rain the ditch riders started to clear the ditches by opening the gates and allowing water to flow through.
One of these rider’s would find more then they were expecting as when the ditch rider, opening the gates along the irrigation ditch that runs behind Sunset Memorial Cemetery discovered a grisly scene. As he opened the gate he discovered the remains of a human body.
Authorities were notified and the body was recovered by the Union Colony Fire and Rescue service at around 10am. As the body was recovered FBI agents and Greeley police officers along with Weld county deputies were on the scene to collect evidence. The body was to badly decomposed so there was no way of positively identifying the body without dental records. If the dental records aren’t enough the authorities will try DNA identification.
Kayleah is still missing after months of searching. The FBI, after two weeks, along with other local offices had reduced the number of agents, detectives, and officers on the case. Leaving enough Greeley Police officers to follow any leads that might arise in the case.
Kayleah’s family is planning another search this weekend which will take place in the Milliken and Johnstown areas. For more information on how you can help with this search please refer to my post on face book which has the information for getting in contact with the FBI, the Greeley Police Dept., and Kayleah’s mother for information on the next search. You can also go to The Greeley Tribune and check there for the information which they do have.
Our hearts go out to the Wilson family and we can only hope that this is not Kayleah Wilson and that we will find her safe and sound. As I have a 12 year old niece that walks all over this town (although she won’t be now). I can not possibly imagine the pain that this is causing to Kayleah’s family. I am not saying they are involved but in my own personal experience here in Greeley CO, is that most the time crimes like this are committed by our illegal friends which we are to politically correct to simply deport.
For those would be kidnappers, gang members, and just general human haters we are watching you. No longer will we sit back as you destroy our town with gangs, drugs, rape, and murder.
I ask all of our community to please when you see these undesirables tagging our neighborhoods don’t worry about calling the police, report them, the more we watch our city the more chance we have of rooting out these twisted “little” minds. Stay tuned to The Greeley Buzz Examiner for more on this evolving story.
