The Apple iPad, the latest little piece of magic that Apple has created to make personal computing yet, just a little more portable than ever before.
In your vast research you have decided, for a number of reasons to go with the WiFi version. Maybe it was initial cost, since the WiFi version is 130.00 less than the 3G version for starters. Or maybe you were one of the first to purchase the iPad and could not wait a few extra months for the 3G version to be released. What ever your rainbow of reasons may have been, now every time you look at your 7×9 glass covered slice of tech Heaven, you wish, wish, wish that you would have gotten the 3G version because you just know it would have been a better fit for you. Well, not all hope is lost.
As with everything else in our vast world of technology, there is an answer for that. Translation, yes you can still make your WiFi iPad into a 3G iPad. There is a great little gadget on the market called a MiFi. This cool little “conversion box” is offered by several different wireless companies who will also provide your necessary data package. ~ Tip ~ Try, if possible, to you sign up with your current wireless carrier as you may be eligible for extra discounts, ie; adding an extra line, adding onto your current data package etc.
The MiFi is a portable 3G Router/Hotspot available from select wireless companies for use on their wireless networks. It provides connectivity to their networks converting a 3G signal into your own, personal WiFi signal for up to 5 devices, TA-DA!! Including your iPad. So, consider just some of the advantages of being a proud MiFi owner:
