Last night’s “American Idol” results show was one of the most predictable in weeks, which is why finding out who got kicked off the show was quite anti-climatic. The “Idol” producers knew this too, as they had 55 minutes of air time to fill before it was revealed that Casey James would be sent home.

The show featured performances by Travis Garland–an artist who Perez Hilton plugged as being better than Justin Timberlake. Another Justin, Justiin Bieber, hit the stage too, performing a medley of “U Smile” and “Baby.” Every 14-year-old girl in the audience lost her mind, as Bieber went to the edge of the stage during his performance and slapped hands with the fans.
As for the “Idol” contestants themselves, they each visited their home towns and were greeted by their adoring supporters. Casey got a chance to thank doctors for saving him after an accident six years ago; Crystal went back to Ohio, popping in and out of a limo and signing a man’s chest (who said he’ll get it tattooed!); and Lee was overwhelmed by his return to Chicago, where visited the site of his first job and performed outside in front of thousands of his supporters.

As for the results, it was nothing surprising. Casey was the odd man out, prompting Crystal to jump eagerly into Lee’s open arms. Casey’s final song was John Mayer’s “Daughters.”
